Rudy Leeman
That was followed by his Master’s degree after another 4 years of Seminary. He focused on history. He and his wife, Carol, were born in northern California. They met in his first parish, became a partnership in their marriage; it led in his retirement to take up historical novel writing.
Carol dumped a pile of resource material on his desk; he could not get to his computer until he entered it all into the hard drive. He ended up writing two historical novels immediately. Carol was his severest critic, having thrown out tens of thousands of words until he got it right. “Now! it’s good.” was heard when he did something right.
He left parish life to teach the handicapped for 23 years at Junior and High school levels. He and Carol, traveled America by air for 20 years, exploring history and cultural climates. The details of Florence, Italy, where the Eduardo trilogy is set as well as other locales in his trilogy accurately describe the areas. They were prepared for him by Carol, who majored in geography at the University of Washington. She became teacher, then administrator of Special Education at a school district in California. She secured her Masters in the process of becoming an Administrator.
